Signage Installation at the Historic Fremantle Prison

By April 27, 2018September 8th, 2020No Comments

Our specialist installers have experience in the most unique jobs. Take this sign set we installed at Fremantle Prison. This was an out of hours install, and required fitting ChemSet bolts into the 150+ year old walls! When you’re working on an UNESCO World Heritage Site, taking the greatest care is a no brainier, and we’re proud to have worked in such an iconic part of WA’s history.

Fremantle Prison was built as a convict barracks in the 19th century and remained in continual use until 1991. The Prison was a place of hangings, floggings, dramatic convict escapes and prisoner riots. Inmates included imperial convicts, colonial prisoners, enemy aliens, prisoners of war and maximum-security detainees. The prison is now one of Fremantle and the Western Australia’s most popular tourist attractions.
